The universal and symbolic images of tarot combine spiritual and mundane aspects of human life. To mirror life, tarot is both positive and negative. Its archetypes remind us that life is about exploring and balancing opposites.
Existing requires contrast and reflection; Without darkness, there is no light.and sometimes shadows are enlightening.
The Temperlyne Tarot is a work in progress. I design and hand paint each card as I follow my inspiration on a journey through the arcana. As I learn not just about tarot, but also about myself and oil painting, the deck will evolve over time with several cards being repainted.
